Resting Tremor

The last
three pictures
are blurs—
the swift sweep
of cheers,
the freeze-frame
flipbook arch
of head and neck
in laughter.

After all,
this persistence
of visioni:
the fan of one hand
on your knee,
caught out
when the rest
was still.
