Andrew Johnston

Hunch

I was in love with your shrink
in my dream, she said

tell me your dream, so I
told her my waking—

page black with ink
I would have to unwrite—

little by little I saw the light
turn into a blizzard. My head

filled with rain.
I hunched my way down the mountain.
